Agreement to Terms

By booking or attending a training session with PupFocus (“I”, “me”, or “my”), you (“the Client”) agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Dog Eligibility Requirements

By booking a session, you confirm that at the time of training:

• Your dog has received all required vaccinations and at least 7 days have passed since the final vaccination.
• Your dog is not listed as a banned breed under UK law.
• Your dog is covered by valid pet insurance.
• Your dog is fit and healthy to participate in training activities.

You agree to provide proof of any of the above if requested.

Behaviour Disclosure

You must inform me before booking of any behavioural concerns including (but not limited to):

• Aggression toward people or dogs
• Bite history
• Anxiety or phobias
• Medical conditions affecting behaviour

Failure to disclose relevant behavioural or medical issues may result in termination of the session without refund.

One-to-One Training Format

All services are provided on a one-to-one basis only. Sessions are delivered in either:

• 1-hour single sessions, or
• 3-hour packages (may be split across multiple sessions)

Bookings and Payment

• Bookings are confirmed only once payment has been received.
• Prices are subject to change but confirmed bookings will be honoured at the agreed rate.

Session Packages and Expiry

• Single sessions are valid only for the scheduled date and time booked.
• Three-hour session packages must be used within 6 weeks of the first session.
• Any unused sessions remaining after 6 weeks will expire and are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Client Responsibilities – Equipment

Clients must bring the following to every session:

• Suitable treats for training
• A well-fitted, flat collar
• A secure lead
• A water bowl
• Fresh water

Photo and Video Consent

From time to time, photos or videos may be taken during training sessions for training assessment, record-keeping, or promotional purposes.

• Images or footage used for promotional purposes (e.g. website or social media) will only be used with your explicit consent.
• You may withdraw consent at any time by written request.
• Declining consent will not affect your training services in any way.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel a session:

• More than 7 days before: full refund
• Within 7 days: no refund; you may reschedule (rescheduling policy applies)
• No-show without notice: no refund and no free rescheduling

Sessions booked as part of a package deal become non-refundable once the first session has been attended.

Rescheduling Policy

If you need to change your appointment:

• More than 48 hours’ notice: free reschedule
• Less than 48 hours’ notice: treated as cancellation; new booking fee required

Trainer Cancellations

If I must cancel due to illness, emergency, or unsafe conditions (e.g. severe weather), you will be offered either:

• A full refund, or
• An alternative session time.

Late Arrival

If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time and the full fee remains payable. Sessions cannot be extended due to lateness.

Safety and Liability

• You remain responsible for your dog at all times during training.
• You agree to use appropriate equipment (lead, harness, etc.) as advised.
• I reserve the right to refuse or stop a session if I believe safety is at risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for:

• Injury, loss, or damage caused by your dog
• Incidents arising from failure to follow training instructions
• Pre-existing behavioural issues

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Children and Third Parties

Children attending sessions must be supervised at all times. You are responsible for the behaviour of any person accompanying you.

Right to Refuse Service

I reserve the right to refuse or terminate services if:

• Safety concerns arise
• Information provided is inaccurate or misleading
• A dog is deemed unsuitable for the booked session type
• You use corrective tools or techniques that can cause your dog harm, or unnecessary discomfort or stress

Training Results Disclaimer

Dog training outcomes vary depending on factors including consistency, environment, and owner participation. I cannot guarantee specific behavioural results.

Personal Data

Your personal information will be handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy available on this website.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of those courts.
